7. Cross-Border Transfers and International Users

Data Processed in India

JioBlast is incorporated and operates in India. All personal data collected through the Platform is transferred to, stored in, and processed in India by JioBlast and its authorised data processors. JioBlast does not maintain data processing infrastructure outside India for the purposes of the Platform, except where third-party service providers engaged by JioBlast operate infrastructure in other jurisdictions, in which case such processing is governed by contractual safeguards as described in Section 6.2.

Consent as Transfer Mechanism for International Users

Where personal data is provided to JioBlast by an International User — being any individual accessing the Platform from outside India — the act of registration on the Platform constitutes the International User's freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent to the transfer of their personal data to India for processing by JioBlast in accordance with this Policy. This consent is relied upon by JioBlast as the applicable transfer mechanism and legal basis for cross-border data flows into India.

International Users acknowledge that:

(a) India's data protection framework, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP Rules"), governs the processing of their personal data by JioBlast;

(b) the data protection standards applicable in India may differ from those in their country of residence or the jurisdiction from which they access the Platform; and

(c) by providing consent under this clause, they acknowledge and accept such differences and waive any right to assert against JioBlast any obligation arising under the data protection, privacy, or related laws of any jurisdiction other than India, including but not limited to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore), the Personal Information Protection Law (China), or any equivalent legislation in any other jurisdiction.

No Submission to Foreign Data Protection Regimes

JioBlast does not represent or warrant that the Platform or the processing of personal data through the Platform complies with the data protection or privacy laws of any jurisdiction outside India. JioBlast does not submit to the regulatory jurisdiction of any foreign data protection supervisory authority, including the European Data Protection Board, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, the California Privacy Protection Agency, or any equivalent authority in any other jurisdiction, in connection with personal data processed through the Platform.

Outbound Transfers by JioBlast

Where JioBlast transfers personal data outside India — for example, to cloud infrastructure, streaming, or analytics service providers located in other jurisdictions — such transfers will be carried out in compliance with the DPDPA and the DPDP Rules, including any requirements relating to cross-border data transfer frameworks or government-notified countries as may be prescribed from time to time. Until a comprehensive framework of approved countries is notified by the Central Government under the DPDP Rules, JioBlast will ensure that appropriate contractual or other safeguards are in place with the relevant data processors prior to any such transfer.

6. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your personal data in the following circumstances:

6.1 Tournament Organisers and Game Publishers

We share relevant personal data (including your identity, gamertag, team affiliation, and tournament performance data) with Tournament Organisers and game publishers to the extent necessary for the administration of Tournaments you register for or participate in. Such entities may have their own privacy policies governing the use of your data, and we encourage you to review them.

We engage third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf in connection with the provision of the Services, including:

  • cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;

  • payment gateway and financial services providers;

  • identity and age verification service providers;

  • analytics and data intelligence providers;

  • customer support and communication platform providers;

  • content delivery and streaming infrastructure providers; and

  • cybersecurity and fraud prevention providers.

Such third-party processors are contractually required to process personal data only on our instructions, to implement appropriate security measures, and to comply with applicable data protection law.

6.3 Brand and Advertising Partners

Where you participate in brand activations, sponsored events, or partner campaigns available through the Platform, we may share relevant engagement data with the relevant brand partner to the extent necessary for the conduct of the activation or campaign. Any such sharing will be limited to what is reasonably necessary and will be subject to appropriate data sharing arrangements.

6.4 Affiliates

We may share personal data within the Jio group of companies (JIOBLAST and its Affiliates) for purposes consistent with this Policy, including for the provision of integrated services, internal analytics, and group-level compliance. All such sharing is subject to this Policy.

6.5 Regulatory and Legal Authorities

We may disclose personal data to the Online Gaming Authority of India, law enforcement agencies, courts, tribunals, or other governmental or regulatory authorities:

  • where required to do so by applicable law, court order, or regulatory direction;

  • in connection with any investigation into fraud, cheating, or other illegal activity; or

  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of JIOBLAST, its Users, or the public.

6.6 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or a portion of JIOBLAST's business or assets, personal data held by JIOBLAST may be transferred to the acquiror or successor entity as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations and in compliance with applicable law.

6.7 With Your Consent

We may share your personal data with other third parties where you have given your explicit consent to such sharing.

(a) India's data protection framework, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP Rules"), governs the processing of their personal data by JioBlast;

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

The specific retention periods applicable to different categories of data are as follows:

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account and for such period thereafter as may be required under applicable law or our legitimate interests in resolving disputes or preventing fraud;

  • Tournament participation data: retained for the duration of the relevant Tournament and for a period of up to 3 (three) years thereafter, or such longer period as may be required under applicable law;

  • Transaction and financial data: retained for a minimum of 5 (five) years or such period as may be required under applicable tax, anti-money laundering, or other financial regulation;

  • Customer support and grievance data: retained for a minimum of 90 (ninety) days as required under the IT Rules and the Online Gaming Rules, and for such longer period as may be necessary to resolve ongoing disputes or appeals made to Online Gaming Authority of India or Secretary to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India; and

  • Usage and analytics data: retained in anonymised or aggregated form for analytical purposes.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, unless retention is required by applicable law or a competent regulatory or judicial authority.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights or interests, we will notify you and the relevant data protection authority in accordance with our obligations under the DPDPA and the DPDP Rules.

12. Children's Personal Data

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. Registration on the Platform requires users to confirm that they are 18 years of age or older.

Under the DPDPA, personal data of children (defined as individuals under 18 years of age) may only be processed with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, and may not be processed in a manner that is detrimental to the best interests of the child. JioBlast does not process the personal data of children on the Platform and implements age verification mechanisms to prevent access by underage individuals.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take immediate steps to delete such data. If you believe that we may have collected such data, please contact us using the details set out in Section 13.
